Interns – Mechanical for Robotics
Endoenergy Systems Private Limited is a start-up business based on fundamental R&D carried out by the founder Professor Virk in Europe for addressing the needs of the global ageing society and the core business is the design, development and testing of wearable assistive exoskeletons that are able to support the daily living activities of healthy elderly persons. The company’s vision is
- To bring a range of quality wearable exoskeleton products to the market that meet needs for daily living as consumer products
- To develop and expand the consumer market for personal care robots for physical assistance
We are seeking the Interns (Mechanical) to form part of the Engineering Team comprising Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Control and Software Engineers who can work together under the Technical Manager and Senior Engineers with a strong passion for robotics to develop wearable assistive exoskeletons Successful applicants will become part of the Indian Engineering Team working closely with the other engineers located in India, UK and other countries in the long term. The Indian team may be expected to align working hours with other collaborating partners’ office hours at certain times for maximising collaborations between the Indian-international teams via strong IT links. Some travel between the India-based and other country-based engineers may be expected and hence applicants should be willing to travel for carrying out dedicated activities.
Our shortlisting of student applicants is strictly limited to the following criteria:
- Must be in their FINAL YEAR of study or recently graduated.
- Have average marks > 75%.
- MUST BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE A PASSION FOR ROBOTICS in their application.
It is essential to be highly motivated to learn and develop new skills in designing the mechanisms and systems for developing the needed advanced robotic systems.
Normally, as per policy, we do not provide placements for interns after the internship period. In case of extraordinary passion and dedication by intern during the internship, Endoenergy is always open for placements to real-time engineers. Interns can apply for placements as and when vacancies are open with Endoenergy.
The following are essential requirements for Intern Mechanical roles:
- BEng (Final Semester) in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Deep knowledge in 3D CAD design using software such as Solidworks, Catia, etc.
- Sound knowledge of material properties and usage.
- Design a variety of simple, detailed and complex mechanisms.
- Perform static and dynamic analysis on various bespoke designed assemblies.
- Design for manufacturing (3D printing, CNC, etc.).
- Contribute to R&D teams as needed to design and develop needed mechanical engineering solutions.
- Support and collaborate with team members in India, UK and other countries on technical developments as per work plan and produce documents, presentations, project plans, etc. as required.
- Strong communicator in English (spoken and written).
Stipend INR 10-15k /month.
